Can I Bring Someone With Me to My Appointment?

We are conscious of the current Covid-19 situation and maintaining a safe and relaxing environment for all clients. Because of this please come alone to your service. This does not apply to clients who require a carer or disability support person or to clients under 18 who would like a parent/guardian present.

Allergies

While we take all reasonable efforts to ensure that we offer an extremely hygienic setting using premium cosmetic, hair and lash products – the skin and eyes can be fickle. Prior to your appointment, please let us know if you have any allergies, sensitivities or have had a previous reaction to cosmetics or skincare – especially lashes and lash glue. If you know that you have teary and sensitive eyes, please let us know prior to your service and take the usual necessary steps you would take to combat dry and sensitive eyes.

What Products Do You Use?

We use a wide range of makeup and skincare products that we have selected for our kits based on many years of work in the industry. Our kits include numerous prestige brands such as NARS, MAC, Tom Ford, La Mer, Glossier, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury etc. Rest assured we would only apply a product on you that we would wear ourselves, and that we trust and believe in.

How Do I Make a Booking?

For single person in-salon bookings please book via the booking page on our website or via the booking button on our Instagram account. If you require a bridal or group booking, please contact us via Facebook messenger or email. You can email us via our contact page on our website or directly at hello@makeupbarhobart.com.

How Do I Access the Salon?

To access the salon on Level 1, 202 Elizabeth Street enter through the entrance of the Pure Boutique Salon, walk through the Pure Boutique space, enter through the first door on your right (the door will have our name and logo on the front). Go up the pink stairs and the reception is the couched area on the far left.

Is the Salon Ambulatory Accessible?

Unfortunately, due to the salon being on Level 1 and staircase access our space is not easily accessible for those with wheelchair and ambulatory needs. If you would like to book our services and access to our salon isn’t physically possible, please don’t hesitate to contact us so we can organise to come to your location.

What Are Your Opening Hours?

We are by appointment only Tuesday-Saturday and typically trade between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. If you require our services outside of those hours, we are more than happy to oblige, however a $25 surcharge per 30min block outside of those hours will apply.

Where Can I Park?

Weekdays there is 2-hour parking along Elizabeth Street & Patrick Street. Parking along Elizabeth street & Patrick street is free on weekends. Alternatively, the Melville street carpark is a 10min walk from the salon.
